Brink Objectivewheel

Objective wheel

Teamplay

Squads of Resistance and Security forces are composed of Engineers, Medics, Operatives and Soldiers. A team will work together to achieve the overall objective of a mission, but you will also be able to complete contextual objectives that benefit the team and earn you additional experience points.

Classes

Each of the four classes are built around a core set of skills, but leveling up will allow you to unlock new abilities and items or specialize into one area of a class. So when you play a game, no soldier, operative, engineer or medic will be exactly the same. Perhaps you will create a well-rounded Soldier that can protect teammates, offer ammo upgrades and demolish objectives, or one that focuses on explosions with heavier detonations, wide areas of effect and a variety of grenades types. Your Engineer may forgo building defensive positions and focus on abilities that let him race ahead to cut off enemy routes with specialized mines. Or you may decide to invest in all-purpose upgrades that can be used no matter the class. The end result, combined with decisions made when customizing your character, is the flexibility to build the game experience you want to play.

Objectives

Using the objective wheel, you can always see your current primary objective. That objective will be driven dynamically based on real-time battlefield data, such as your class, condition and location, as well your teammates and the overall status of battle. As a result, you'll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

In addition to the primary objective, the mission wheel will dynamically offer you opportunities for other contextual goals and secondary objectives. As an Operative, turn enemy defenses against the opposing team by hacking their sentry guns. Or as an Engineer, upgrading a recently claimed command post may bolster your defensive position. So by completing secondary objectives you can give your team a competitive edge while earning additional experience points to level up your character.

These are the four classes featured in BRINK:

Classes:

Soldiers...

•fighting-type unit
•have unlimited ammo (if they use their own "give ammo" ability on themselves at the cost of two power)
•can supply the team with ammo
•can plant explosives

Medics...

•healing/medical-type unit
•can heal wounded teammates
•can revive downed teammates
•can buff their total health
•have cool down times between healing and revives
have a self-resurrecting ability at high levels that is on a very long cooldown.

Engineers...

•mechanically-inclined unit
•can construct and repair objects
•can build turrets, scaffolding, and supposedly barriers (perhaps more).
•can lay landmines
•can upgrade the power of their teammate’s weapons

Operatives...

•spy/espionage-type unit
•also have intelligence abilities
•can disguise as fallen enemy players
•can interrogate to get information (your team gains a radar for X amount of time)
