Heads-Up Display (HUD) is any transparent display that presents data without requiring users to look away from their usual viewpoints. In FPS games, the HUD is used frequently in guiding the player to Objectives, keeping track of ammunition and health, and usually features a Grenade Indicator (typically a small grenade icon and an arrow showing the direction it's in), showing active grenades that pose a threat to the player.
