A Medic, helping revive a teammate.

The Medic is a Class featured in BRINK.

Overview

Administer treatment to the injured, revive Incapacitated teammates and VIPs and buff your team with a variety of special Abilities.

The Medic functions as the key supportive role, able to heal both his team and himself. Medics come equipped with a variety of syringes which can heal any damage taken by the player, buff the initial health of friendly players and themselves by one pip and revive downed teammates by tossing a syringe to them. The Medic is essential for VIP Escort Objectives as he is the only one able to revive and buff the VIP.

Medics are encouraged to heal other players, as they recieve much more points for healing hurt or downed teammates than killing. Self-healing does not grant any points.

Equipment:

  • Health Syringe
  • Revive Syringe

Reviving

Medic Revive

Throwing a Revive Syringe.

To Revive a teammate or Escort target, simply approach the Incapacitated target and interact with them to throw them a Revive Syringe. Escort targets will revive themselves immediately and continue along their path.

Incapacitated teammates who have received a Revive Syringe can choose when to revive themselves, meaning you don't have to worry about whether the area is safe before helping them.

This Ability has a significant Cooldown time, as such it is important to prioritise who to revive before attempting to do so. It also shares the supplies meter with other Abilities.

Healing

Healing

Healing a teammate.

The Medic is also capable of healing teammates and Escort targets of damage they may have taken during firefights. This is done by approaching them and interacting with them momentarily.

This Ability heals players to 100% of their health, but has a Cooldown period between uses. It is possible to heal yourself, however it is presumed that the Cooldown period takes much longer.

Life Buff

To temporarily increase a teammate's health by one pip, aim at the desired player and press the interact button. The Medic will toss a syringe to the player which will take effect immediately.

If the player is not currently in range to throw the syringe, they will automatically run to get in range before completing the task. This run can be interrupted by attempting to move in any direction.
